Yesterday's Gargoyles
When the explorers found The Gallery rising above the central tropics it was assumed to be a representation of the many Xenolympian races. Upon closer inspection of these totem-like towers they found figures of ancient Shadkalian, Lamrid, and Humani. This was an index of life out among the younger worlds. The expedition now had proof that the Xenolympians had traveled the galaxy.
An even more amazing fact was that there were several figures from each race in historically accurate clothing, leading to jokes about the Xenolympians being fashion critics. All of the known races are represented, as well as at least three hundred unknown ones.
